From silo thinking to common goals with team building
Do away with silo thinking in your organization – and create renewed focus on your common goals!
With Chain Reaction, the community and your overall goals are the focal point.
When all teams have to produce and deliver results separately – and at the same time remember to work together, the classic balancing act between personal and organizational priorities arises.
Chain Reaction is all about creating a huge and versatile chain reaction!
All teams have specifications to meet and there is typically a need to focus on themselves. But gradually it becomes clear that if the overall chain reaction is to work, collaboration across the board is an absolute necessity.
The Storm P machine as a team building exercise
A multifunctional “storm p” machine will move the collective energy from a-z, and creativity comes into play when old materials are given new life and bowling balls, boxing gloves, ship bells etc. suddenly become part of a dynamic chain of energy – from team to team. The process consists of a planning phase, where the teams plan and communicate with each other, followed by a realization phase where theory meets practice. The reaction is initiated by team 1 and must be kept alive all the way to the very last team. Everyone needs help from each other if the efforts are to bear fruit.
Will the chain reaction reach its destination and will the whole group succeed?
Adaptability and solution focus are challenged when theory from the drawing board meets reality in practice. Silos must be broken down when teams, in addition to solving their own specific challenges, also need to constantly work across teams to achieve the common goal. Chain Reaction demonstrates the importance of clear communication and handoffs in a busy workday, and shows how important it is for all teams and departments to communicate and work together across departments.
